Role Description
The Project Consultant (temp/contract) reports to the Project Manager and will be self-directed to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Partnering closely with the talent team, this role is dedicated to championing a successful location launch. It ensures full staffing and onboarding operations for the site location.
Key Results Areas:
Organize and lead onsite recruiting efforts to screen candidates for hourly entry-level labor roles
Roles may include pick-packing items and delivery, with experience working in cold and hot environments and standing for long periods while fulfilling orders
Conduct on-the-spot interviews of potential candidates, demonstrating an ability to anticipate the onsite manager preferences (interview 3-4 candidates per hour)
Ensure a positive experience for all candidates by providing timely, accurate, and relevant feedback including answering questions
Partner with a talent team to record, track, maintain applicant records, and meet recruitment metrics
Ensure successful onboarding for hired staff including collecting information and I9 verifications
Keep candidates engaged while waiting for confirmed start date(s)
Embody start-up spirit with a roll-up-sleeves attitude, flexible to the ever-changing project landscape and deadlines
Work closely with others in a collaborative environment, also be self-motivated, and have exceptional time-management skills
Provide weekly updates to the Project Manager and ensure the launch target date is on track
Qualifications and Skills Required
Minimum 5+ years' experience in a supervisory role working in operations in a retail environment leading a team with strong decision-making
Must have experience and be comfortable interviewing, hiring, and onsite training/onboarding
Must have reliable transportation and can work on numerous onsite locations within a 25-mile radius Monday – Friday 9 – 5 pm with occasional weekends as necessary
Personal presence, gravitas, excellent interpersonal skills, and the cultural sensitivity to work with a diverse team
Outgoing, friendly, reliable, and self-driven. Someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment and celebrating success with the team
Candidates must possess exceptional attention to detail, strong initiative, and critical thinking skills while working comfortably in a hands-on style
Autonomous but collaborative and invites partnership where possible
Understands the need to maintain high levels of confidentiality
Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines. Even-tempered, grace under pressure
You must own and be able to utilize a smartphone and your personal computer
Highly computer literate with capability in Excel, Word, Outlook, Zoom, Teams, G-Suite
Compensation: Exempt $66,560 - $70,000 annually
