Operation Supervisor
Role Summary
Our client is looking for an Operation Supervisor to join their team. The Operation Supervisor will work with the Planning Manager and the Account Management team to plan production activities. The ideal candidate can determine priorities, make decisions, and organize merchandise necessary to create an organized operation. Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed, as is the ability to work independently and within a team.
Key Results Area
Determine appropriate production methods and labor levels to meet service deliverables
Review master production schedule and work orders to prioritize maximizing availability to meet expectations and revising as needed
Supervise all fulfillment and production personnel to ensure maximum productivity, efficiency, and accuracy
Ensure all lines are correctly set up and that all employees understand their specific duties at the beginning of each line start up
Responsible for checking work throughout the day to ensure proper assembly and adherence to the shipping schedule is occurring
Interview, hire, and train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees
Learn, promote, and adhere to a 6S (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, and Safety) workplace
Support and maintain all corporate quality standards, policies, procedures, and work instructions as outlined in the company quality system documentation
Adheres to OSHA regulations as well as company safety policies
Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
3+ years of warehouse supervision experience, including thorough knowledge of receiving, shipping, product fulfillment, and inventory control
Experience with standard warehousing procedures and practices; experience with various warehouse automation equipment (RF, Voice, etc.) a plus
Previous experience coaching and developing employees
Six Sigma Green Belt, TQM, Lean Manufacturing background strongly desired
Strong Microsoft Office skills desired
Ability to lift, bend, stretch, and stand for long periods of time, lift to 40 pounds
