Senior Accountant
Role Summary
Our client is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their rapidly growing company. The Senior Accountant (SA) role is a crucial contributor to the company and will assist in the future growth of the company. This individual will report to the CFO (Chief Financial Officer). The Senior Accountant will provide financial support to senior management, including preparing accurate books, capital expenditure analysis, overseas team support, and other projects requested by internal and external clients. The SA role acts as the financial accounting engine for the company, supporting the business’s optimization. This person has a massive call to action and a proven results-oriented background working with a startup or large organization.
Key Results Area
Support the month-end close process, including preparation of required analysis, calculations, closing entries, and creation of monthly financial statements
Prepare monthly equity journal entries
Assist in managing Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable process
Manage the bank account reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
Third-party e-commerce platform management and reconciliations, as well as EDI integration
Royalty calculations
Inventory management and reconciliations, including managing the inventory observations
Assist the Accounting and Finance team with inquiries and issue resolution
Assist with budgeting and forecasting process
Contribute to process improvement and process documentation initiatives
Ad-hoc special projects and financial analysis related to accounting operations function, as needed
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or 3+ years of equivalent work experience), preferably in accounting
3 to 4+ years of relevant experience in a Public or Corporate Accounting setting preferred
CPA highly recommended (or on track to completing the Uniform CPA Exam)
Must be reliable, trustworthy, team-oriented, and deadline-driven in a multi-tasking environment
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and to communicate and interact effectively with various teams as needed
Superior analytical and problem-solving skills with extraordinary attention to detail
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and a general understanding of GAAP are required.
Highly proficient in the following applications: Microsoft Office and QuickBooks Desktop (and other ERP systems).
