Job Summary: The Store Manager is responsible for sales and profit goals by setting a plan, creating a call to action to deliver best-in-class results with goal-oriented employees. You will be responsible for talent and leadership development and structured performance management for the store team based on the results and values of the company. This person will set standards, policies, and procedures to meet the expectations of customers and staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for all aspects of store operations
- Continuously promotes a welcoming environment for customers by greeting and assisting, as well as quickly responding to customers’ inquiries and needs
- Responsible to engage and encourage employees to hit sales performance goals, handle difficult and/or complicated sales, inventory, cash management, and follow-up with customers
- Values customers and creates an environment where there is always leadership presence in the store
- Always follow company protocol for store locations and maintain the associate appearance
- Scheduling associates to maximize sales is a must
- Maintains payroll, ensuring appropriate staff levels
- Key strengths in merchandising, promotional campaigns roll out for seasonal sales performance
- Servant leader that coaches and promotes based on goal-oriented performance
- Coach and develops underperforming employees to improve performance
- Strong people management skills and staff leaders, customer service, merchandise and operations, and customer service roles
- Business Forecasting necessary to hit store performance goals monthly while managing shrink and inventory stocking levels
- Follow and adhere to all company policies and procedures with an emphasis on health and safety, and store security
- Maintains strong partner relations for all vendor deliveries and distributes stock to the sales floor in a timely manner
- Manage all sales promotions driven by corporate parameters and lead personnel to increase sales and merchandise volume
- Monthly audits on pricing and signage, to ensure correct promotional and store products are priced correctly
REQUIREMENTS
- People Skills with the ability to create a positive environment with happy employees
- Strong Problem-Solving skills with effective short and long team vision
- Experience in staff development, leadership, and budget control
- Lead the team with Customer Service at the forefront of all conversations
- Identifying root causes of issues, summarize actions taken, and create preventative actions for the future
- Demonstrate an ability to meet/exceed goals and organize work appropriately
- Ability to evaluate financial indicators and drive corporate desired results
- Possess strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong listening, written, and oral communication skills
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 3+ years of experience in retail store management
- Will have excellent problem solving and project management skills
- Strong verbal and written communications skills for both internal and external customers
