Supply Chain Planner
Role Description:
Our client is looking for a Supply Chain Planner who is responsible for all aspects of the supply chain for the DEPA production facility. This includes using our MES (Manufacturing Execution System) to create and manage production jobs based on the Master Production Schedule, planning material orders with vendors, planning material transfers from and to company-operated warehouses, and coordinating these inbounds with our transportation and warehouse teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Planning materials for production based on a locked schedule period and available sales forecasts using an MRP (Material Requirements Planning) system
- Working closely with the Supply Chain team and procurement to ensure the right materials are in place at the right times to support production
- This includes scheduling material transfers to and from outside storage facilities, creating and managing orders with vendors to support the production schedule, and escalating material defects for evaluation and vendor credits
- Creating, closing, and managing production jobs in the MES (Manufacturing Execution System)
- This requires collaboration with the Supply Chain team to ensure the scheduled production is in sync with the Master Production Schedule, the needs of the business, and the needs of the facility
- This includes collaborating with the inventory and production teams daily to validate the materials used in the production jobs to ensure inventory accuracy
- General clerical duties including but not limited to checking receiving documents for accuracy as requested, data entry, and generating reports as requested related to planning, inventory, and production
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be competent with Microsoft Office or similar productivity suites, particularly with Excel or similar spreadsheet programs
- Strong English speaking and writing skills are required; bilingual (Spanish and English) is preferred
- Familiarity with ERP, WMS, MES, and/or MRP software preferred
- The best candidates will be detail-oriented, good communicators, and good decision makers
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- The Supply Chain Planner requires long periods of sitting and working at a computer station
- The Planner will be required to visit the production floor, refrigerated and frozen storage, shipping dock, and outside storage warehouses as needed
- Must be able to step, climb, balance, squat, kneel, bend, and reach above shoulders as needed
- Some lifting up to 60 lbs. may be required
