Senior Accountant
The Senior Accountant (SA) role is a key contributor to the company and will assist in the future growth of the company. This individual will report to the Sr. Director of Finance.
The Senior Accountant will provide financial support to senior management including preparing accurate books, capital expenditure analysis, overseas team support and other projects requested by internal and external clients. The SA role acts as the financial accounting engine for the company supporting the optimization of the business. This person has a huge call to action and a proven results-oriented background working with a startup or large organization.
Position Responsibilities:
- Support the month end close process, including preparation of required analysis, calculations, closing entries, and creation of monthly financial statements for multiple legal entities
- Manage intercompany accounts and associated reconciliations
- Prepare monthly allocation entries
- Prepare required consolidating and eliminating journal entries
- Prepare monthly equity journal entries
- Assist in managing Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable process
- Manage the bank account reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist the Accounting and Finance team with inquiry and issue resolution
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting process
- Support internal control development initiatives
- Contribute to process improvement and process documentation initiatives
- Ad-hoc special projects and financial analysis related to accounting operations function, as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or 3+ years of equivalent work experience), preferably in Accounting
- 3 to 4+ years of relevant experience in a Public or Corporate Accounting setting preferred
- CPA highly recommended (or on track to completing the Uniform CPA Exam)
- Must be reliable, trustworthy, team oriented, deadline driven in a multi-taking environment
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently, and to communicate and interact effectively with various teams as needed
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills with extraordinary attention to detail
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and general knowledge of GAAP is required.
- Highly proficient in the following applications: Microsoft Office, QuickBooks Online (and other ERP systems), Bill.com, and etc.
