Role Description

 

Reporting to the Fulfillment Center Manager, the Delivery Associate (DA) will play an essential role in all aspects of our delivery operations, including loading/unloading of vans at our warehouse and customer sites. You will also need to be open to helping in the warehouse, and possibly assisting in stocking at customer sites as needed. This role is essential in helping us deliver an excellent customer experience by ensuring our customers receive the right products, on-time, and at peak quality.

The DA is responsible for modeling company values and promoting the company culture.

 

Key Result Areas 

  • Loading vans according to the delivery schedule
  • Operating a commercial van between our warehouse and customer locations
  • Interact in a positive and professional manner with customers and the general public while delivering products to customer business locations
  • Partner with Operations on ensuring product delivery and quality
  • Use handheld technology to deliver customer orders, manage delivery progress, and solve obstacles
  • Sort and prepare a delivery route to meet the client delivery schedule
  • Ensure delivery vehicle is clean and in good operating condition at all times and unloading/cleaning of equipment and vehicle upon completion of the route
  • May assist in training other team members
  • Where appropriate, assist in warehouse operational tasks including order pulling and general tasks

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Ability to operate and navigate sprinter vans and effectively use GPS
  • Possess a valid driver’s license in the state of residence
  • Customer service experience is a must
  • Delivery experience is required
  • Highly collaborative and consistently working on process improvement
  • Comfortable learning new software and providing feedback on apps
  • Detail-­oriented, reliable, on-­time, and organized
  • A quick learner, proactive, and works quickly
  • ServSafe (Food Handlers) certification preferred

Working Conditions:

  • Capable of moving up and downstairs at client locations
  • Ability to lift, push, pull and move boxes up to 50+ pounds
  • Ability to lift, bend, reach above the head, kneel, crouch, and/or stretch during shifts
  • Strong time management when dealing with systems/customers/staff
