Human Resources Manager  

  

  Role Description    

The Human Resources Manager (HRM) reports directly to the Global Chief Human Resources Officer, working to support the company objectives carrying out the administration of the day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties. The HRM carries out responsibilities related explicitly to HRIS, employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, organization development, executive administration, and employment. The ideal candidate will employ excellent conflict management and decision-making skills alongside a solid understanding of employee relationships, staffing management, benefits administration, and a working knowledge of payroll to ensure our team members can succeed in their roles. The HRM is an excellent communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills, providing timely and concise information to deliver world-class service to all internal and external contacts.  

The HRM is responsible for modeling company values and promoting the company culture.  

  

Key Result Areas   

  • Support all internal and HR-related inquiries or requests  

  • Maintain digital and electronic records of employees  

  • Oversee the completion of compensation and benefit documentation  

  • Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events and maintain agendas  

  • Coordinate HR-related training sessions and seminars  

  • Perform orientations and onboarding and update records of new staff  

  • Complete termination paperwork and exit interviews  

  • Keep up to date with the latest HR trends and best practices   

  • Support and promote the execution of all data entry related to our bi-weekly payroll  

  • Enforce approval deadlines and manage data uploads within the HRIS platform  

  • Oversee the administration of PTO accruals, report usage and balances to managers and supervisors  

  • Field general payroll and benefits questions, serve as a liaison for answering complex questions  

  • Ensure the onboarding of new employees in HR and payroll systems  

  • Handle termination paperwork in a timely matter  

  • Ensure the deployment of detailed payroll reporting for finance and management  

  • Prepare side analyses to optimize employment overhead costs  

  • Collecting employment and tax information  

  • Preparing new employee files  

  • Overseeing the completion of compensation and benefit documentation  

  • Orient new employees to the organization (setting up a designated log-in, workstation, and email addresses)  

  • Conducting benefit enrollment process/ Open enrollment leadership skills 

  • Schedules the administration of new employment assessments    

  

Skills & Qualifications    

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field experience 

  • 3-5+ years of experience as an HR Manager  

  • SHRM certification preferred 

  • Experience working with both internal and external clients  

  • Positive and friendly demeanor and personality  

  • Prior experience using Paycom, Oracle, and UKG needed 

  • Ability to work effectively across various cultures and countries, including having international employees as direct reports  

  • Exposure to Labor Law and employment equity regulations  

  • Effective HR and people management skills  

  • Exposure to payroll practices  

  • Complete understanding of HR functions and best practices  

  • Must be able to communicate, both written and orally, as to communicate with employees, members of the HR management team, and in group presentations and meetings  

  • Works well under pressure and meet tight deadlines  

  • Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office, G-Suite, and related business and communication tools  

  • Fantastic organizational and time management skills  

  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills  

  • Understands the need to maintain high levels of confidentiality
